like many of you here have already noted, finding information about Scagel on the internet is hard.
I am specifically interested in the upcoming book about him, I heard it is due out next year sometime - does anyone have a link to the publisher's site?
Also, I am interested in seeing photo's of Scagel's workshop either during his lifetime or current photos. Is his old workshop in Michigan now a museum or is it privately owned? What part of Fruitport is it located in, as in, what is the street address of it, so I can look for it on Google earth?
I have read and re-read McEvoy's book on Scagel as well as most articles that I have come across over the years. To my knowledge, I have yet to see or handle a Scagel knife in my life. I would like to get the chance to look one over one of these days. His life and story were inspirational to me when I was a teenager and really into knives. Now, my hobby is making musical instruments, but I retain a respect for Scagel's independent attitude and consistent design themes over his career.
Any further information regarding Scagel would be great. I am sure that this question gets posted from time to time, so I apologize for being repetitive.
