I inherited a large amount of high-quality hunting/fishing knives when my father recently passed away. They are all new and in their original boxes. Does anyone know where these could be sold in bulk? I need to find a buyer to see as part of my father’s estate. Thanks in advance.

You could purchase a gold membership and sell them here on the exchange. Ultimately you would have more luck and profit selling them individually.

As noted you could sell on here. You can also sell on eBay in bulk. Or you can make them a part of an estate sale as deal with other goods.

But if you are trying to respect your late father's collection and recover the maximum of it's worth selling in bulk is a mistake.

You might be able to find a dealer that sells that sort of stuff. I think that some of the sellers on the all about pocket knives forum buy from individuals.

If you are serious, pay the $30 membership and start giving us specifics. We can help you more then. With out a gold membership, advice on how to proceed will be pretty limited. For example, if you let us know exactly what you have, we can get an idea of value. Some individual peices might be worth the effort to sell individually, while others are best on the in bulk. But really, without you paying for the ability to sell here, we can't go too far down that road. Hope that makes sense. Oh, and be sure to read the rules.

If you can wait on the money, A G Russell, NWKnives / Northwest Knives and Collectibles, Arizona Custom Knives, Bernard Levine, and a few others will sell for you on consignment.

Just note that consignment of common knives will usually net you 30 - 40% less than the average selling price than if you Ebayed them out or similar.

Bulk sales, you might have to accept anywhere from 30 - 70% off book value depending on what's in the collection.

Also, you would have to know what "high quality" means in terms of this collection to know whether it's worth selling individually, putting at auction, or selling in bulk.

Bruce Voyles has periodic knife auctions. Just google him. He does a few knife shows too in the TN-GA area.

Added: I doubt he would be interested including frost cutlery stuff in his on line auctions.

I noticed one of the thread tags is "frost cutlery"...

You may not want to set your hopes too high on the eventual valuation of this collection.

Buy the gold membership and you will find the help that you're seeking here.

Frost Cutlery stuff is mostly junk. It is mostly flea market grade stuff that is sold for a dollar or two.
