Just when I was gettin a little antsy... I saw a thread over on the Spyderco forum http://www.spyderco.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42166 about somebody getting a shipment confirmation on their sprint run blue Manix 2 with FFG S30V. I got a few on order with a couple places, went to check my bank account and looks like I got charged for mine.

I can't wait for it. I've been drooling over the pics since they came out in January.

I ordered two and I think mine are due to my dealer anytime too. Can''t wait! I'm hoping this knife becomes one of my general EDC's. We'll see after I carry one for a while :D

Wow! It is blue. Who cares?

well it is a very well made knife, i like the way the blue looks but if i had to get a sprint tun manix 2 i could try and get the one with the carpenter steel coming out later this year, but the blue manix 2 still looks very nice. another thing the blue does is stand out, and gives a little variation to a collection.

It is also flat ground S30V vs hollow ground 154CM. I'm pretty sure that is why most people care.

Edit: People also do care about colors and like something besides the normal boring black. So if people care about the color what is wrong with that? Just because you don't isn't a very good reason to come poo poo their thread.

I'm on the list for two of those FG CTS-XHP's too. Looking forward to giving that steel a try.

I'm digging the blue for a nice change. It's a non-threatening color and suits an EDC quite well IMHO. But as already mentioned, I really like the practicality of FFG with S30V and skeletonized liners as was done on the S90V version.

Well mine shipped out, can't wait. I don't really like the blue scales myself personally, I'm really buying it for the full flat ground S30V blade. I've always wanted a Manix 2 since they came out but I didn't like the 154CM or the hollow ground blade.

I will however try one of those Carpenter sprint runs when they come out. Should be a good workhorse. Reek I think those Carpenter XHPs are hollow ground too.

I think the Blue Manix looks totally cool but I just can't decide to get one or a Military first. It took me a while to warm up to Spyderco but there seems to be a lot of supporters out there.

Better decide quick! The Blue Manix is a 1500 piece limited sprint run. The bigger major retailers ordered most of the shipment and you can still order one now! If you don't wait.... These will all be gone soon and then the hoarders who bought 2+ will sell them for ridiculous prices.

it is only a 500 piece run! they better decide super quick!

Today I ordered a Manix II blue, Cat and Chicago (mostly because the latter two probably suit my EDC needs better than the Manix). Ugh . . . my credit card hates me!

mine was shipped friday ,,,, cant wait !!!

btw, is it 500 or 1500 sprint run? , I cant find any info on this knife ,
it is not even in catalog for 2010.

man i wish i hadn't waited so long to pre-order it. stupid needing money for things.

It also has milled liners, making it alot lighter than the regular manix 2...

Mine shipped yesterday, can't wait... Wish I could'a bought two...

Now if only I can decide to use it or not... seeing as how it is pretty much a perfect EDC... strength of the manix 2, but only 4oz, and FFG... but also very collectable... urg! horrible choice you put me to spyderco...
