As a machinist I became somewhat obsessed with metallurgy, tooling, and quality machining. I have a habit of studying things that have been machined, and how they were machined. In the years I worked at Vector Arms I would see LOTS of knives from many brands come thru. a few years ago I messed around with a friends Busse and the machining quality was excellent! the radius edges and corners were beautifully machined and is perfectly symmetrical in the smallest details. this kind of work takes many more steps to machine and demands perfect and meticulous set up before hand. not to mention the perfect fit transition of the tang and grips. add that to Jerry Busses tough, unique INFI steel. and these knives are truly a work of art with lots of work and build time in each one. When someone says (how do you justify paying that for a knife) well.. with everything I have mentioned above, I have not seen another blade offer the same qualities in a knife.
Its truly a lot of knife for the price and the warranty is second to none..

Thanks for your thoughtful comments. I also like them because of the seemingly endless number of models and variations of same. I wonder if anyone outside of Busse Combat could even guess the total accounting of those models; colors; variations & customs...:-)

I received my first Busse today and I would have bought one years ago if I had known they were like this. I'm not easily impressed and although I'm no expert I have paid attention to knives for the past 30 years or so. ;) The fit and finish is way better than it ever needs to be for a hard use combat knife but it is appreciated. The secondary bevel on this knife is also the most consistent I've ever seen, I'm just eyeballing it but it looks absolutely perfect. In that regard it's as good as any custom that I have.

I have another one on order, I bought both of these mainly because I think they're nice designs with decent sized handles. Now that I finally see one up close and handle it, I'm a convert.

My first Busse was a NMSFNO and I was very impressed at the quality of the knife.

My first was a TGLB. I was not much of a fixed blade guy. I hate to admit it but it was a Walking Dead impulse buy. I liked it an got another TGLB. They were both stolen when my car was broken into along with a G19 and a LCP:mad:

Both TGLBs replaced. Added 2 SRKW customs rodent 3 and 4. Then a HG55, AMSMO, NMSFNO, HellRazor. Now I sit waiting to see what the Ganzaaaa yields.

I was never much of a "knife" guy, although I've carried a knife of one kind of another since I was about 7 or 8 years old in grade school. (The fact I was able to carry a knife in school gives you an indication of how old I am!:D) Much more of a "gun" guy. (I even carried a .22 rifle or a shotgun in the trunk of my car at times to go hunting right after school!)

I'd never even heard of Busse knives until I saw a comment in a post on the DefensiveCarry forum and followed a link to a review of a TGLB by a young girl, then did some more research and saw some more reviews. Found the Busse site and had sticker shock at the price! Did some more research and decided I just HAD to have one of those knives!!! Now I am totally hooked on INFI and Busse knives! I got lucky an scored a Crusader, then last week I put in an order for two AMSs. One is for my wife. :) Ironically enough, I was not a fan of The Walking Dead until after I ordered my TGLB. I didn't even know which character carried the TGLB. Now, my wife and I are totally hooked on TWD and I bought the DVDs for all the seasons that are out.:)

One day I came across a pic of a SFNO and had to know who made it !! BUSSE COMBAT !!! I've been addicted to INFI since that day lol.

Heck, I was sold on busse from the first time I took an old a2 steel heart ii to the field and made shelters cleared areas, and the edge just stayed sharp. Similar work had destroyed other popular blades of the time I had used. And infi is better than a2
Great knives to stake your life on.
