My first purchase in the Army at the Post Exchange in 1978 was a Seiko Divers model, the automatic one for a whopping $110.00 which was expensive not only for a watch, but especially for a Seiko. But it did take everything I dished out for 12 years till I gave it to my best buddy for a gift.

If you like BIG divers watches!

Here's my Russina Diver GMT. At 56mm overall....it's HUGE! I have a 7in wrist as well.

I paid $260 for mine at the PX at Ft Campbell in early 2003 before I shipped to Iraq. I still own it. Runs great. My first automatic watch.

Excellent timepieces all! I have a Solar Eco-Drive that is quite large. I love it being a BIG guy. 9" wrist. It is one tough watch! My Wife has always said I could have a Rolex when I turn 50. Next year baby, Next year!:D

Nice purchase! I have a black Monster that I've had for three years now, and I simply love it. It needed a bit of tweaking, but now keeps very accurate time. It's pretty darn tough, too. I think you'll be surprised at how long the luminescent paint holds light.
