Seiko SKX007 watch band suggestions?

Hey guys,

I know some of you are watch fanatics. I'm looking for some good suggestions for a new watch band for my Seiko 007. Right now it just has the heavy duty stainless steel oyster band. It's a great band, but I'm looking for a little variety.

The current watch & band (next to Al Mar Hawk in black pearl):

I'm looking for something classy.

I was thinking of maybe a carbon fiber look band from West Coast Time: (http://westcoastime.com/carbannewand.html), but I'm not sure. Maybe something in leather?

Any pics you can provide would be helpful.

Have you thought about a kevlar strap with a deployment clasp? :thumbup:
 
Hi All-

I'd like to "second" the suggestion by K.V.C. above.

In consideration that it is a sportwatch, you may wish to consider a kevlar band that doesn't have suede-backed padding. This will prevent the funky odors and degradation that eventually kills a quality leather strap. A straight kevlar band can washed and dried without damage.

I'd like to get one of the kevlar bands, but I was cheap and just took the black leather band off of a Luminox.

A dive strap was supposed to go onto the 007, but it looked better on the Luminox.
 
Get a couple of those Maratac two piece straps from Howard at Westcoastime. The most comfortable straps I have owned, inexpensive and easy to change out. Get a couple different colors so you can switch off once in a while. I like the black and the British Gray, both with brushed stainless hardware.

I would pick up a couple of others too as suggested above. A different strap can make a dramatic difference in the look of a watch and keep the New Watch hounds a little bit at bay. :)
 
I can' t recall where I saw it. But there is a black leather model with orange stitching that would make a nice match to the 007 and the orange minute hand! I think I may have seen it on a Glycine or a Sector.

Nakano, I hadn't thought of looking for something with orange accents - that's a good idea. I did a google search for "orange black watch band" and found this:
