I've been reading up on this particular watch and so far, reviews are very favorable. I like the design, simplicity and the price.

My question is, being a Seiko watch I assume it is made in Japan. I read somewhere that it is actually made in Malaysia. Can anyone enlighten me on this?

Also, owners out there please do provide comments regarding this watch.

Thanks.

Yes, they're made in Malaysia/Singapore, but their quality is really good on these. The 7S series movements dont hack or manual wind, but they're tough

The letter K at the end indicates made in Singapore. If it is a J then it' s origin is Japan.

What do you mean by hack or manual wind?

Hack = second hand stops when crown is pulled out ( for synchronizing)
Manual wind = winding by crown rotation rather than movement of wrist
Neither a big deal, IMO.
