Seki-cut Bob Lum Encounter ??

hi gentemen,

a friend on the European Forum show us nice pics of the Seki-cut Bob Lum Encounter (taken from a polish site, here http://military.pl/s/m/NSC100.html?id=AzFXhynZ#
click on the small pictures at the back to see biggers one

i like the shape of his D2 Blade.
I don't understand in which material is the handle.
The size fit my taste....

But did anybody around has got this modele, is it worth the money?:confused:

I know there is a "search" function... But with "encounter" i found to many ref not related to this knife, and "BOb lum encounter" crash the system...:confused:

any help appreciated!:D
 
Handle is made of anodised aluminum with steel liners (420J2). AG Russel had black version of folder and also the fixed blade Encounter.
 
There are three versions: one has aluminium, one has G10 and one has micarta slabs over the steel liners. The knife is a very weel made, scary sharp one, I think you will not regret buying one. I personally like the ones with the G10 or micarta handles.

With a Bob Lum design and Seki-cut production you're pretty safe in getting a quality knife. Go for it. :)

It would probably be my next month purchase (i try to reduce the addiction ... by doing only one order per month... result i have a 460 usd order shipped in 4-7 days at bestknives..:D )

For the moment, i am awaiting a BM710...
If you look closely, blade of the BM710 is not too far from that Bob Lum encounter... I think i like this shape of blade :D

By the way, i don't know if i am allowed to ask such thing, if i am not, please delete my post...
Here is the question: i order recently (26/10/2005) nearly 500 usd from bestknives site. I optain a mail of confirmation and since then, no news...
I send them couple of mails, still no news.
does this happen also to anybody else around?
usually they were much more "reactive", so should i start to worry and look somewhere else for BM710, becker9, etc...:confused:
