Anyone have any experience with Seki Cut brand knives? I think they make some Spydercos and William Henry's, but what about their own knives? Any good?

Seki Cut is a consortium of knife manufacturers in Seki City, Japan, some of which have made knives for Spyderco, SOG, and others. They are not a manufacturer as such. The knives are made by the various members of the consortium - Hiro, Hattori, Sakai etc.

The knives are of excellent quality - no different in quality than the knives they make for U.S. Manufacturers.

All of MY Seki-Japan knives have come to me very sharp...Especially my (AUS-8) SOG Trident and (VG-10) Spyderco Endura & Delica. Also, the QUALITY of these knives are totally top-rate. I have NEVER seen a knife that's built as well and as solid as my SOG Trident!.:).

Seki Japan makes some of the best production knifes in the world, without doubt!

I have my eye on one of the Bob Lum Encounters. I like the look of it. A 4" D2 blade doesn't hurt either. :D I was hoping someone else would buy one and do a good review first.

The knives I have seen appear to be consistent with the very best production knives from companies like Spyderco and Benchmade.

The various Japanese manufacturers that make up the consortium are producing their very best, not inferior cheap products.

I feel the same way about my SOG Recon Bowie (SK-5):)

Quite a few of my knives say seki on them somewhere and they all serve me well, are quality peices, and are very sharp :)

The hattori fighter put out by Junglee is pretty awesome. I dont own it yet, but I always take time to check it out when I am at Plaza Cutlery. It has been on sale for many months, too bad I'm broke.
