I have a mint condition Seki Direct santoku kitchen knife with a ZDP-189 core san mai blade and a full-tang cocobolo handle for sale. As many of you already know, ZDP-189 is an advanced stainless steel that can be hardened well beyond normal levels to achieve unparalleled wear resistance while maintaining a good functional toughness. As a result, knives made with this steel hold an edge exceedingly well. The san mai helps increase the already functional toughness of the steel.
This knife is from a very limited run that Seki Direct did last year. To my knowledge, the entire line has been completely sold out for some time.
The ZDP-189 santoku listed here has never been used or resharpened, and it has an extremely sharp hand-finished factory edge. The knife includes its original box.
Price is $225 shipped and insured within the continental US. I will ship internationally, but international shipping charges must be paid in addition to the listed price of the knife. Now $200 shipped and insured!

I will consider a trade towards a variety of custom folders. Some custom fixed blades, such as those by Tim Galyean, Tom Krein, Jerry Hossom, John Young, and Russ Andrews, would interest me as well. Of course, in a trade for this knife, appropriate cash adjustments would be made.
I am not interested in serrated blades or production knives other than a numbered Strider RC.
