In my opinion, we do not see enough of Japanes custom knives or production knives here in the US. There are a lot of makers and factories whose knives that I have never handled. The ones that I have handled and seen are usually of wonderful quality, and great value. It makes me wonder what I am missing-and your post makes me wonder even more.

Thank you for posting that. I hope that you picked up a few items at the show.

Wonderful knives and images. I love Yamamoto's D'Alton Folder in the last pic. What a tribute!

Shimada's forged hawk and machete is no joke. WOW!

Very nice to see Ohta's work. Very clean. He's a friend, but hard to communicate with. Louis has a piece or two from Kensei. WOW! Mike

Some wonderful slipjoints in those photos. I find many of the knives to be very impressive. Thanks for posting the images.

Nice pix! :)
Thank you for posting them here for us to enjoy.

Thanks for sharing these wonderful knives with us. I like the design on several of them.

v-man,

These fixed knives were called slim straight.
I forgot to take pics of slim straights...

Mackenzie4856,
The larger blade is a paper knife. That is an style library tool model.
