Just got back from the Seki Outdoor Knife Show (11-12 Oct., 2008. Seki-city, Gifu (Japan)).
Long blade (over 15cm = Approx. 6") and double edged knives are restricted in Seki Outdoor Knife Show.

Sweet! Looks like a fun show. Nice balance with the photos, looks like a good overview, lots of different 'kinds'

looks like this was tactical heaven for those collectors. thanks for the presentation. always love to see knives from around the world. Was Harumi Hirayama there and did you get photos?

Harumi Hirayama didn't come to Seki Outdoor Knife Show.
She often comes to the JKG Show in Tokyo.

Thanks! I like the Nemoto wide bladed pseudo-tanto in the second pic. Sweet knife.

Thanks for sharing these with us. I really like the looks of some of those slip joints by Yoshio Suzuki. I'm also drawn by the large folding hunters by Kansei Matsuno. He sure finds some beautiful stag.

Was Hiroaki Ohta at that show? Just curious.

Thanks for sharing.
One only has to observe these reviews of the international shows to see just how popular tactical knives are around the world.

Thanks for the review.

I really like those Matsuno folding hunters. They make me think of a folding Loveless especially with those bolts. Thanks for sharing these photos.
