As usual Busse does not provide sheat as part of package, which is OK with me - I have more opportunity to my own. This knife is very cute and feel very pleasant in hands - Busse G10 is very good thing, it has matte polish comfortable for some reason to skin - kind of velvety. I like this knife so much so I rush to make sheath for it right away.
Game Warden positioned by Busse as an EDC. So sheath is not really sheath but pouch. So I decided to make it as simple as possible - just wrap leather around and sew without any belt loop, just to keep it in pocket. This takes about 30-45 minutes to do. I did it in hands to make it tight so knife will stay in the sheath by friction only.
After I have great success with leather painting last time, I decided to paint this one also. But do something different then "forest camo" I did last time. Let it be ornament - thing used for decoration for centuries. After searching the web I found some nice slavic patterns (am I Russian or not!). get the idea and draw one myself.
Here the final result:
I did not get crisp and clear colors, I guess wax I used for polish dissolve paint in some places. But it is not painting to hang on the wall, so I guess for sheath it is pretty good! Now I am convinced to make my own sheath for all knives, I like it more this way.
Thanks, Vassili.
