Has anyone heard of this knife maker. I came across a fixed bowie type knife with a damascus design on the approx. 5" blade. The handle has a carved design into a white either bone or other substance. Anyone with any clues let me know. I can probably get a photo to post. It is beautiful.
Thanks

not trying to be funny, but could it say Solingen? If so, that is the name of a famous knifemaking town in Germany.

Hi all!
Knowing many german knifemakers, i am shure lifter4Him is right. Must be Solingen, the knifemaking town of Germany. Is it marked West Germany? If so, it must be older than 10 years, because there's no more east and west since 1989.

could have been solingen but it definately said west germany. I dont remember if it had any other maker name or marking. I am going back to buy it this week. I will post a photo here when I get it for anyone who is interested.
