Ive sold a couple of my guns that I havent used for a few years to buy knives

I wanted but didnt have the money for. I use and carry the knives I

bought with "gun money". I got a good price for the guns I sold...

Have you sold any guns to buy knives and do you still have the knives you

bought with "gun money"?

I think guns are a much better investment than knives. I will sell knives to buy knives, but won't sell guns to buy knives.

Guns can be a hobby as much as knives. Both have there uses, just depends on which you like more.
 
ha.. a few years ago, i traded 2 (customs)knives i had, for a brand new Mossberg 500 12 ga.. it's a great gun.. i love it...:)
 
Guns are completely different than knives and should be sold only if one is in dire need of money for an absolute emergency and all other options are off the table. Now I have sold knives to buy guns. Recently in fact I had 5 Mission knives 2 MPS 10 TI PE, 2 MPF 1 TI PE and 1 MPF 3 TI PE. About $1,600.00 worth of knives, had to sell to pay for vet bill for our cat that my wife ran over, Cat cost me $4,000.00 and still had to be put to sleep, *&*^(*^&*(^. Anyway this was about the time of the one having been elected and the gun surge was on and I had some new Beretta Model 90 two pistols coming in, so the knives had to go.

Recession kicked in for me shortly there after and still have one knife to my name and haven't been able to replace any of my missions, carry a buck mayo tnt now that is all I could afford and probably be all for a long time to come. Anyhow if I had to do it all over again I would in a heartbeat as the gun in the long run is going to be a more versatile and useful tool offering greater overall utility and longevity therefore to me more value.
 
I dont think I would do it as I think guns are generally a better item to have "stockpiled", assuming you have enough knives to get you through.
 
I might sell knives or guns if their appeal wore off and/or I don't use them for a long time. But, I'll never sell everything, maybe just one or two. Some older knives and guns I have are just duds, and I have newer and better ones.
 
I have been thinking of selling some of my guns to buy knives. After this may just hold on to them, even though I probably wont be able to shoot them again. HL
