Sorry if this is a duplicate thread, I just upgraded my membership to be able to as this question and also to be able to sell the collection.

Hello All, I am new to this board, and as much as I love knives, I collect japanese antique Nihonto as my main addiction. Reason I am posting is that I am helping my neighbor sell her husbands knife collection and after doing some research seems like he picked some good smiths. I am not sure what he best way to sell the collections is. There are 18 larger knives (which I will list below) , a group of case folders, ag russell folders, and others. In total probably about 50 knives. Listing each on ebay can be tedious. Any suggestions. I don't see a way to post a photo of collection

Larger knives:
Jim Ence (Deceased)
Ray Beers
Morseth Knives
Sid Birt Damascus (retired)
Ruffin Johnson El lobosolo
Ruffin Johnson El lobosolo push dagger
JB Knife and tool
AG Russell Shopmade
AG russell Folder
AG Russell Folder
AG Russell Folder Knife collectors club
TJ Yancey Limited edition (retired)
Jim Pugh Bearhead (Deceased) (see photo below)
Frank Centofate (Deceased) Spiderco ***
Marble's Loveless drop point
Tapio Wirkkala Puuko knife
Texas Lockhorn
George Herron (I think deceased) (Listed on the fixed blade section here)

Apologies if I knocked off any smiths by mistake, it was unintentional20180211_205101.jpg .

You can sell them individually or in a group in the Exchange subforum here. Like anything else, selling them in a group may be simpler and may yield less money, selling them individually will me more work and may yield more money.

You cannot sell them or promote the sale in here, the General Knife Discussion subforum.

That's an interesting blade shape, never seen that before.

I know the Pugh knives have been discussed before and I believe they have a pretty good value too.

Welcome,
  1. No sales for third parties. If your "friend" wants an item sold, they must create their own account and list it themselves.

A consignment site for custom knives might be a good option also mate. There is one in Arizona which is fairly well known.

Rich, I've perused through your site many a time, great resource. Thanks. One of my favorite pieces which is more in line with this site and you might appreciate (Gassan Kai Ken) NTHK says circa 1800View attachment 848710 (Gassan

That is awesome.

This. Send the entire bundle to a certain "Custom Knives" store originally from "Arizona" (they're not based there anymore, but just Google those terms). Open an account, send the knives over with whatever information you have on them. They'll list everything for you, and take 25% of any sales.

I have all the knives in my possession and decided to purchase the lot. I am still planning on selling the bulk of pieces I'm not interested in. Please feel free to check my eBay feedback and listings for the knives as well to be assured of my sincerity. You are welcomed to contact me through eBay as well to confirm this. Regards, Darius.

I forgot to mention my eBay ID is (DKYS) if there any concerns as posted by CVRobinson

Thanks for the heads up on this. Will check it out. Here's the part of the collection with the larger fixed blades.
