Selling -- How do I mark as sold? Am I suppossed to make the price disappear?

How do I mark my items as sold all fancy, like when they make the letters look faded, or put up a big red "SOLD"?

Also, it seems like the prices on sold items disappear afterwards. Do I do that? How?

Disappearing price is a seller's prerogative.

Next to the reply button, you should see another marked "go advanced". Click on that and you should see the field to edit your title and mark it sold.
It's not a prerequisite, but it'd be nice if the thread was locked also to prevent commentary. Do this by using the "thread tools" tab at the top.
As lmleck already posted, removing the price is at the sellers discretion and is not required.

There is no requirement to change the price - entirely up to you.

I've never had a buyer request that the price be removed after a sale and I do appreciate prices being left up for reference when buying/selling rarer or not often seen items.
