Recommendation? Semi Budget Assisted and Assisted Flipper Recommendations

I'm looking for recommendations on a semi-budget assisted knife. An assisted flipper would be great.

This knife would be a gift for my brother. He recently broke the one he had, a $10 gas station variety. I'd like to upgrade him, but don't want to break the bank. The knife will be a user. He does carry an old school Leatherman, but wants a dedicated knife as well.

Budget: $100ish.

Made in USA preferred, but doesn't have to be. Not made in China is much preferred. A used, but in really good shape knife would be considered.

3"-4" blade length. Coated or somewhat stainless as he will carry it in his pocket were sweat will get on it in the summertime.

So... Any recommendations?

I can get a Black Blur in Magnacut for $103. Kinda hard to beat that, but keep the recommendations coming!

You are really missing out. Civivi makes some fantastic knives at that price and less. I don’t mind knives made in China as long as it’s WE, Reate, or another bigger name.

Blur seems to be the consensus. If he can hold off buying a gas station cheapo for a week, I'm going to try and order him up a Blur in Magnacut. If not Magnacut, then 14c28n.
