Looking for high end production, semi custom, or custom flipper knives possible with thumbstuds.

Hinderer is awesome but looking for something else. Attracted to shirogonov and Todd begg, they are posabilities, but they don't have thumbstuds. That's not a deal breaker at all. The fluted blades on bodega look bad ass.

Looking for about 4 inch blade preferably in good steel, OAL about 9 inches. Not looking to get on any waiting list really.

Has to be under $1,000.00. If anyone can point me in some direction I'd greatly appreciate it.

Best regards
Troy

Brad southard tolk is very cool, also seen the gavko mako with the thumb hole.

Thanks

For an amazing flipper, you can't go wrong with something made by Andre Thorburn. Made in South Africa with spectacular fit & finish, and flipping action that I feel is some of the best out there.

Price is around $600-750 for something similar to what's pictured. However, Andre has flippers that are more "dressy" with engravings and gold inlays and such for about $900+ Perhaps Thales2015 will chime in with some more offerings from André.

The CF one is his L51 model, and the green G10 is his L44

Thanks blues bender

Jeez , sexy , nice polish on the top one. I look at some of those also.

Chime in you say? When Andre's involved, of course! :)

Here's a pic of my Thorburns (L54, L51, A3, L50, L42):

If you're interested in Andre's work, send me a PM and I can give a few tips on where to look :) John Arnold does some cool stuff too (also a South African).

Oh man, is this a loaded question! So many great options available at that price point. You've gotten lots of great advice, mine is just watch the exchange, and be ready to pounce when something catches your attention! Good luck :)

Lol Thales 2015 gave me a great lead, just bought the Thorburn L51 flipper carbon fiber with 390 steel.

Hope business stays busy for me, if not I'll just sit home flipping my knife.

Thanks everyone and please keep posting.

Best regards

Surprised no one's mentioned Kirby Lambert. Tons of designs, flipper or thumbstud, under $1k, huge range of options.

Thanks, super excited.... This will be the most expensive knife thus far. But I have a feeling that I'm just scratching the surface.
