I have a few knives with a semi-swedge (i.e. narrow spine) near the tip, namely my HR and CGFBM.

I know that it looks good, but it is messing up my ability to baton these semi-swedge knives through wood.

If the powers that be are watching, it would be great to have the semi-swedge sexy knives released with a flat spine version for the utility freaks among us. :p

Thought? Comments?

In ways I agree with you, but there is a utility for a knife tip that will penetrate and one way to do that is with a swedge.

I know many guys had criticized the Fat FBM because the tip was too fat and the blade too heavy and a swedge would have helped that one.

But a CG FBM with a full flat spine would be a good user. I think Grinducci did that to a FBM but I think that was a fat one.
