The FCMAA has rescheduled the seminar that we were forced to cancel last
month. The new date is Saturday, March 10th.

Dr. David Wink, a former student of Pekiti-tirsia Kali under Grand Tuhon Leo
T. Gaje and Pentjak Silat under Suyardi "Eddie" Jafri, has spent the last
20+ years using full-contact fighting to test and develop his fighting
system. On March 10th, Dr. Wink will teach a seminar on mixed weapons
fighting. Today, it's not unusual to see people fighting head to head with
the various classical weapons systems like solo baston vs. solo baston or
doble baston vs. doble baston, but you don't often see people fighting with
mixed weapons systems like: doble baston vs. staff, doble vs. katana, espada
y daga vs. katana, or baston vs. daga. No doubt the warriors of the
Philippines had to fight weapons of various types and ranges with whatever
weapon or implement they happened to be carrying at the time. It seems that
things haven't changed much except that instead of the jungle, most of us
are more likely to have to apply our systems in an alley or parking lot.
Join us and learn how to apply various weapons systems against weapons of
superior range and or power.
