There's a Benchmade 705 with Carbon Fiber scales and an M2 blade going on eBay right now and it's well over $200. A find that rare is sure to sell well.

The Innova's are nice as hell but not garnishing anything near list price and I think many dealers are selling them below cost to unload. On eBay the ones with reserves are never met and the ones without reserve's are going for around $150 which is 1/3 list price.

Limited edition Bali's are always hot but it seems the Model 31 forum bali is lingering and it's still somewhat easy to find the 42ss.

Other limited issue's seem to be doing well also, I picked up one of the D2 Ares at a reasonable price and just scored a 705 KOTM for a song as well.

I struggled finding a 940 Ti with the S30V blade, those went quick!

I guess what I am getting at is that some of the limited editions are doing great and some are not - it depends on the market and who can read that? One guys had a true prototype BM605 from the 99 Shot Show on eBay that had been made with Micarta scales and his opening price was $85, it closed witout a bid - I thought it was reasonable.

Strange how stuff works..

Yup. It's just like criptle said. It all depends on which model you're talking. The innova's are overpriced IMO for what they are. I have one and that's it. I probably won't even keep that one for too long. OTOH, 705 forum knives sell for like $300 on ebay. I just sold a 690-01 for some very good money.

Basically, the slightly older ones seem to do better, while the newer ones that are still available aren't doing as well. But that's only normal of course. Buy em because you like them, not to make a ton of money on, because that probably won't happen.
