Sencut Serene Flipper and Button Lock and Thumb Stud Knife Aluminum Handle

Hey gang, before you lose all respect for my perception of reality, let it be known, I have owned Medfords, Demkos, etc., and presently I own/use a Hinderer Project X, Microtech Soccom Elite, Cold Steel 4 Max and Bradford Fixies. So I like my knives and I dont hesitate to spend money on them. With this said, I just had to send you all this post. Just for fun and because my favorite color is blue, I parted with a grand total of $55 for this Chinese Sencut Serene. Like many of you knife experts, I am very picky and find fault with even the smallest of design flaws.

I opened the package on the way home from my postal box and am just kind of amazed, I cannot find a single flaw or fault with this knife. Laughing to myself, I question, why do I like and carry such expensive knives when companies like Sencut produce little $55 masterpieces like this?

This knife is such a simple beauty. Gorgeous aluminum handles, perfectly comfortable, no hot spots. Flipper and thumb stud, D2 blade on bearings. Razor sharp out of the box, perfectly centered. Excellent, smooth, tight, deep carry clip. Sure, it only has, what appears to be, T6 and T8 hardware, but who cares for $55. It is kind of like cognitive dissonance, when I think to myself, won't this knife cut my ropes, pineapples, avocados, and open my boxes just as good as my $500 something Project X or my $300 something Soccom Elite?

i have always been a fan of value priced knives that look and perform above their pay grade. i own many. and yes, i have way too many high priced high end knives.

If you can really satisfy / scratch that itch you've got for a much more expensive knife ...yeah , that's great .

If not , you still have to spend the money for the pricey one , plus what you already spent .

Also , you have to probably , someday , thin the herd . Usually its the cheap ones that have got go first .

I think it looks like a good to very good knife that should do well at knife-like things. Enjoy.
