I've got a 2000 EKI fullsize commander generation 2, with hardcrome finish and serrations, i love it. But i have one problem, when i open it in my left hand i can hear the blade scrape on the liner. Is this something that they will be able to correct if i send it back or am i being to picky. The blade is by no means loose and the lockup is tight.
Feel free to beat some sense into me if you feel i am being too nit picky.

hey make sure the pivot isnt loose, but EKI has great customer service IMHO, A+

Dan:

Before you send it in, try this.

Field strip the knife. Adjust the liner with the second detent so that the detent is pushed back somewhat( Push the detent into the liner). This is done so that the detent does not exert as much pressure on the blade. When you re-assemble the knife, hold the blade centered and tighten the screws down.

I've had the same situation with a 2000 PSARK and this minor adjustment rectified the problem. Give it a try before mailing in your knife. Having said that, I just sent in a SOCFK which had some up/down blade play. EKI has excellent cutomer service and they stand behind their products 100%.

Good luck

Thanks Raye for the info, the problem is with field stripping it, i kind of stripped the large philips screws covered by the G10 on knife, so i don't want to take it apart.
I think i will send it in to Eki since my cqc7 needs a sharpening, the commander needs some new hardware, and i want to pick up a rapid deployment sheath. Hopefully this will save me on shipping.

Thanks guys, Kinda didnt want to clutter the "other" forum with dumb questions.
