I have a chance to have a couple of my knives displayed in a casino gift shop in California.
Are there any laws I need to know about before sending them ?
Thanks for any advice.

Commenting as a recently departed lifelong Californian: No laws govern shipping your knives, as far as I know. Or selling them there. But it's on the buyer to ensure they are legal to possess in whatever county and city they call home. Same goes with any other state.

Thanks . California has some very strick law on ammo and firearms so I wasn't sure about knives.

As long as the knives are legal to posses in California, they are legal to ship or transport them here.

Some items, like knuckle knives, sword canes, plastic knives undetectable to metal detectors, and knives made to look like other items (pens, lipstick, etc) are illegal to posses in this state (I'm in California) so it would not be legal to ship or transport such items here.

If a switchblade or butterfly knife has a blade 2" long or longer, then they cannot be transported in the driver or passenger area of a vehicle. But it is legal to ship them here or transport them in the trunk of ones car in this state.

But all other knives, folders, fixed-blades, single-edged or double-edged, all perfectly legal to posses, carry, ship, and transport anywhere in a vehicle.

I've shipped a few large folders from Nevada to California and never had any problems. I mean, online retailers like Amazon are allowed to ship to California, so you should be able to as well.
