I've been carrying a minigrip for edc for awhile down and the black finish on the blade has worn down. My current blade is also serrated which I cannot stand anymore. Can I send the knife in on warranty and pay the $25 for a blade replacement and get a satin plain edge blade instead?

I was quoted $70 to gave the scales on my Adamas changed to black, its interesting how much cheaper it is to change the blade on your minigrip, and good to know!
unfortunate they probably wouldn't include your old blade, so you could switch them out if you ever wanted to for any reason.

I've got a beat up one I got off ebay awhile ago. I'll have to send it in and get a new blade put on it so I don't have to live life without a benchmade.

That seems pretty high to me

Yes you can.....BM service warranty is top notch. Never missed and beat....I think they are fastest turn around time.

If you are the adventuring type you could remove the finish yourself and grind out the serrations yourself too.

There are threads here on how to do both. If you don't like the results, you can always send it in.

Just a thought.

Yes, but you'd have to grind it darn near FFG to maintain edge geometry, not turn it into an axe, and your time is well worth the $25. Unless you want the practice.

I've done it, no power tools, won't be doing it again without some insane incentive.
