Sending it back in?

I'm sure that you all know that I am a huge Kershaw fan just by my name. What I was wondering was, I read a while back on here that you could send your Kershaw knife/knives back in to get kind of like a spa day. Do they actually do this?

If they do this, and I were to send in my Leek, what exactly would they do? The only reason why I'm asking is because my Leek needs some TLC, and at this point in time, I don't think that I should do it just for the fact that I might mess something up...:o

So if anyone has information on this please lemme know :P

I know Kershaw offers free sharpening for life, but as for a tear down, clean up and reassemble, I'd shoot them an email first. Ya might want to wait until aftrer the Warehouse sale this weekend...I'll bet that place is a mad house right now!

Knowing the quality of their CS, it wouldn't surprise me if they did it for you for free.

To expand on what SPX said, their customer service is so good that you might actually have to include a note if you DON'T want them to replace it (just clean it up instead). I have sent a couple of knives in for little stuff and they almost always send back a new one. They are the best in the business, no question.

I just sent in my Mini-cyclone since it's torsion spring or something broke and didn't feel comfortable fixing it myself. I also asked for them to sharpen it and even clean and lube the inside if it was possible. I'll let you know if they did so when I get it back.

Alright dude that sounds good, if you want you can pm me instead of keeping bumping this thread :l

Just called kershaw today about my MUDD that I sent in 10 Days ago... They said it was shipped friday of last week.. Which means I should have it tommorow.. day 11... That pretty darn fast if you ask me...

That means they received it, did their magic, and shipped it back out in 24-72 hours. That's pretty stellar.

Alright I got the knife today and am pretty damn impressed. At first glance I thought it was an entirely new knife, until I saw some scratches on the side from the clip. The inside had been completely cleaned out and looked great. I even think they oiled the pivot since it's very smooth to open/close. They also fixed the torsion spring so it fires super-hard once again. Finally they resharpened it with a beautiful, even grind.

Thanks a lot Kershaw, your customer service is truly outta this world!!

7 days since the factory sent my knife back... Damn USPS.. maybe tommorow.. I need my Mudd ...;):D
