I sent a knife back to Spyderco in Golden, CO and USPS tracking has it as Delivered to Front/Desk/Reception/Mail Room on 2/25/22.

I haven't received a confirmation or any update from Spyderco. When you send a knife back to Spyderco do they send you an email that the knife was received?

Is this just normal? I don't need my knife back anytime soon, I just want to know that it's not lost in the ether.

I never have. I've sent two back, both were fixed and then sent back to me with no further updates.

Ditto. 1-way communication.

Asked Sal about this before here and (at that time) he said that there were just 2 guys working in the shop and they didn't' have the time to send emails to confirm receipt or notify when the knife is being returned.

Give it a couple of days and you can call to see if the job has been logged into their system yet or not and how long they think it will take to get it done. At least that's what I did the couple of times I've sent them knives to work on/look at.

When I sent my Siren in, I could not get a real person to verify physical receipt of a knife. I was told that if tracking shows they received it, then they have it. They simply don't have the time to respond to everyone who sends a knife in. And frankly, I'm happy about that bc it means they are putting more time into turning things around more quickly rather than calling everyone and reassuring them that everything is fine. I'd probably just relax and trust in the process rather than let fear take over that your knife has gotten, or will get, lost in the mix.

Yeah, I'm in no rush. Just wanted to know if my experience was normal, which sounds like it is. Thanks for the info!
