It has been awhile since I have posted a photo so not sure if I get or not.
This one is headed to the Blade show. Sambar Stag, Dog Star pattern Damascus, deep relief scroll work on the stainless guard. The blade is approx. 5 inches long.
The Sendero makes a companion knife for whatever you do out in the field or just stay home and look at it. It works for either.

 Damn that is gorgeous.. Man, your Senderos have such perfect proportions and such an eye pleasing profile to them... then add all the beauty and skill you're able to achieve in and on your knives into one and BAM!!! Perfection.. And I always enjoy when you do the dog star pattern on the blade, the 'rays' are always perfectly placed. Thanks for sharing Jerry! :)

Man, I've been wondering this for a while now, did Camillus steal your Sendero design? I remember comming across their knife a while back before I was even aware of your Sendero model and fell in love with it.. they even have the same pattern jimping/filework just front of the guard..?

Please forgive me if this is inappropriate, if so I'll delete it.. But there are just way to many similarities to not wonder..

Thanks.

That 5" blade length turns the Sendero into one of the most visually pleasing knives I've ever seen. An expression of grace and balance in a profile that whispers quiet ruthlessness. At once subtle and dramatic. Utterly gorgeous.

Several knife companies have worked with Jerry over the years to create successful production model Senderos. The one you posted was the fourth and last FISK Design that Camillus produced in the OVB line with Jerry. He recently collaborated with White River Knives in creating a production 'Bush Knife' version of the Sendero.

Not doubt, the Sendero is an extremely popular and fine Hunting Knife design and the one Jerry posted here is a very fine example of such.

I would not have come up with this response, but after reading it, I want to ditto it.

Will, I totally agree!

Thanks for clearing that up Kevin :) That should have been my first question, if he collaborated with them, as opposed of ask if they straight up stole the design lol. My intention really wasn't meant accuse Camillus, I was just curious as to how the design was sooo close to the Sendero (but obviously not at the same level as Jerry's), that it just happened to be the first way to come to my mind to ask about it. :foot: Funny thing is, when I first saw that Camillus, I thought to myself, I need to copy that profile!! :D lol just so perfect...

Anyway, once again, beautiful knife Jerry! :)

Coldsteel, Camillus when it was in New York and I did the OVB Sendero.

Camillus sold to China. They now do the knife. They will not pay me, they will not stop producing them. I cannot even get them to at least do a decent steel.
If it is Camillus marked make sure it has the OVB mark on it, if it does not please do not buy it.

The White River Sendero models are the best ones produced by a company. I got to work with them on exactly how I wanted it ground. They have been open to me tweaking the design to make it more efficient even. They let me pick the steel. They offer a life time guarantee. I am not trying to put an ad in here. What I am trying to say it that it is nice when you work with someone who makes what you had intended to have out there with your name on it and was just trying to show you the difference.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch........

One of my favourite, if not the favourite, hunter designs. I could look at this all day long.. Beautiful shape and blend of materials. Gorgeous.
