So I decided to freshen up my early 70s 110 and sent off my knife about 10 days ago.

Can any of you tell me how long I should expect to hear from them on what it will cost me? I did not contact them ahead of time, maybe that was a mistake. I'm not worried or anything, just anxious to see what they can do to a 40 year old knife!!

I would have called them first for all the info... And tell them what you want done to the knife... It's not to late to call them and tell them it's on it's way...
That's just me... :) ... Good luck and post some pics of it... before and after pics...

I sent a 110 in for treatment on the 14th of September. I have not received it back yet. If you look on Buck Knives web page on warranty:

http://www.buckknives.com/index.cfm?event=about.warranty

They tell you "Please expect 4-6 weeks for replacement or repairs April – August and 6-8 weeks September – March." It looks like we both are in the 6-8 weeks time frame.

I resurrected my 110 which is circa the early 1970's today from a box in my garage. It has been sitting a couple of years and the bolsters were starting to turn green etc. got it ready to go to the factory tomorrow for the treatment.
