So I brought this one up in the grail page... And i was wondering if anyone else had anything similar. I have a maple burl Bushfinger that I adore. Its absolutely gorgeous in any light, it felt perfect in hand the moment I got it. Its 1/8th SFT. Honestly, nothing to seemingly special.

But my moms got it for me. Its absolutely one of my faves, It honestly started my FB craze. However, its so treasured that I dont use it. Should I? Am I dishonoring my knives animal spirit by just going all Golem on it pulling it out every night, cleaning it if needed, holding it....

Do yall have any FBs that are near and dear to your hearts? Any so special that you dont dare use them?

PS. Thanks Mama!

This one. My CurlyQ Hunter in Eucalyptus Burl. I got to personally hammer out the curlyQ (which is why it's rather boring when compared to the others) at the TrackRock Fall 2014 gathering. I wont do anything with it, ever, except gaze upon it while in my grasp. :)

There's something special about Eucalyptus burl

I have received a few bushfingers as gifts, each is very different, and I would never wish to part with them! (Birthday, Wedding, Anniversary)

I've owned some that were very sentimental to me. All that sentimental value tends to go away when I see a new model or new colors that I just have to have.

I guess the most sentimental to me is my wife's doublemint Kephart. She adores that thing.

My wife and kids typically give me gear for things like birthdays and father's days. A Fiddleback Machete and a Ahti Metsa are a couple examples of blades they've given me. Definitely sentimental and in the "never to be sold" category.

For me my OD Runt was the knife I was pursuing while my family was also pursuing adoption. I finally was able to shark this Runt right about the same time the court assigned us our new daughter! This one isn't going anywhere.

I inherited this S35VN Recluse from a friend who got killed when a truck hit the car he was riding. Never going to sell it.
