This is a new design I have been working on. I call it "Sentouki" which means fighter.

This one is 3/16" A2 tool steel with a 60Rc. The OAL is 10" and the blade is 6" from the handle.

It is double flat ground with a nice swooping swedge on the spine.

The handle is Carbon Fiber/P-1 Haircell Kydex over wrapped with black ito cord and impregnanted with special epoxy.

The sheath is Kydex P-1 haircell carbon fiber.

It is getting ready to its new owner :)

That is a pretty badass piece, Adam.

Would like to see a "slightly" more prominent projection to keep the finger from sliding up on the blade.....ever hear the story of the SOF competition? Stabbing a steel belted tire was part of the comp, and someone used a CS tanto, which has minimal bolster/guard....permanent usage loss of fingers....ouch!!

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Thank Steven,

I agree and will incorporate that into the next one. To tell the truth I was freehanding the design and ran out of steel....Next time:thumbup:

'Nother nice one, Adam.
It looks dull tho.

Rolf.... It now is ready to put the final edge on. I grind it pretty thin at the edge then put on a small convex edge.

Final edge goes on right before it gets sent out.

I learned, for me, it is better and wait to put the final edge on after you have shown it to family and friends because it saves a lot of cut fingers ...lol

It is so funny the first thing they want to do is run their finger over the edge while looking at it

I like the shape of the blade a lot, but looks like the handle should be longer. That is my normal complaint, the handle is too short for my admittedly large hand, but it looks small for your hand too. john

My hand is 4.5" across and 2" thick.

The handle is just shy of 4.5" from the top of the radius up front to the end of the handle.

It fits my big paw really well and is very secure. People with smaller hand really like the feel as well.

I am not a fan of big handles on knives so I try to keep most at the 4-4.5" length overall depending on style.

The perception in the picts do make the handle look small and the wrapped cord adds to that because it does not cover the entire length of the handle as well.

Adam, it still does look a tad shy of a handful of a handle. Haha, I made a pun, a bad one, but...well, not bad for me. Just a thought, Adam, take it for what it's worth, as always. I can't get over how much you have improved over the years I've known you, leaps and bounds, my friend, leaps and bounds!

Thanks Dave! That means a lot

I Have some giant mitts...and might be use to grabbing small things

I will add 1/4" on the next one and a bit longer at the ricasso as well.

Thanks everyone for the tips and suggestions

Glad you like it
