Seperate ALOX SAK handles?

I checked Google, but can't find a source for separate ALOX SAK handles.
Anyone know where I might look?

My ideal SAK would be an ALOX handle Super Tinker with a locking blade.
Are there any custom shops that could make this happen? :)

To my knwledge, Alox scales aren't available on their own as are cellidor scales. The fact of the matter is, Alox scales are much diffirent than cellidor scales- they act as both the scale and the frame. So, in order for this conversion to be possible, there would have to be an even greater level of reworking.

Also, as attached, I don't see alox scales as something that are intended to be able to be removed and replaced.

Right! I was stupid enough to actually try this one. Bad idea and ruined a perfectly good Pioneer. (Couldn't get the new rivets to hold.)

If you could replace the scales you might be able to make a locking liner like the one-handed trekker uses. I don't know why V-nox doesn't make at least one version with the liner to test the waters. It shouldn't require much retooling.

The Alox scales are definitely not meant to be removed.

However i'm tempted to try using aluminum as a scale material on a celidor model sometime. I'd love a Huntsman/Outrider/OH Trekker with aluminum scales. I love my Alox Soldier/Farmer/Campanion but still i occasionally pine for the tools on the spine.Right now my Celidors outnumber my Alox's 14 to 1. But my lust for Alox is now starting to displace my lust for celidor.
Hmmm an Alox model with a Corkscrew, that would be sweet! lol.

Anybody know a good place online to buy relatively thick aluminum stock?

One of the added advantages of the alox scales is the extra rigidity that they provide, in being both a frame and a scale. If a system was devised that incorporated a standard liner and a set of alox scales that mimic cellidor scales, you would get a nice set of scales that aren't going to collapse or break, but you loose one of the major alox frame-scale benefits.
