Serial numbers

I was wondering about serial numbers on Em knives? For instance the new
A-100 I picked up yesterday has the number 97 on the blade. This is a
partially serrated/combo unit. Does this mean that it is the 97th A-100 to
be produced off the line or is it the 97th combo edge A-100 off the line?
Thanks.

Sean

So just to clarify, a batch of plain edge would be numbered 1-? Then it would start
over and they would run a batch of combo edges 1-?

Thanks very much for the info! :)

I know the coloured A-100's done for Warriors are not serialized.

maybe only the later models have serial numbers, and the older ones like the 7 dont.

it would be odd to have started putting numbers on the 7 well after the first run. of all my emersons, the 7 is the only without a number other than the year.

IIRC most had #'s after '99 or so, i know i have several '00 models and they are all #'ed.

IIRC i had a '7, a '98 model, i dont think it was #'ered.
