I was wondering if knives where the finger guard is the actual blade of the knife, like the I zula 1 or 2 and Bcker 18 have a specific name because i really like that type of handle/blade and would lime to research more knife types like them to possibly add to my collection?

The LionSteel M7 has a nice fingerchoil that's actually usable. Sometimes they're too small to get a finger in.

The finger choils that are too small to get a finger in are usually designed as sharpening choils. That way, when you sharpen the blade all the way to the heel, you have a little leeway and are less likely to grind the ricasso. Larger finger choils accomplish the same thing but also allow you to choke up on the grip. The tradeoff is that a choil of any kind is a sticking point if you're sawing through material and reach the heel of the blade, and larger choils reduce the amount of usable edge you have for a given size of knife.

Actually I don't think I read the OP carefully enough before sperging out about choils; it sounds like you're looking for knives that have a forward guard in the blade but the handle doesn't extend that far forward? I'm not sure if there's a particular name for those, but if you look up paracord handle knives or knives that people often wrap with paracord, those are usually like that. The reason being that most fixed blade sheaths grip the handle, but a paracord wrapped knife needs a sheath that grips part of the blade. Drop forged knives also tend to have this design choice since you can integrate a thick hilt by drop forging. Also if you haven't heard of Busse knives, most of them are like that because of their "talon hole."

Like these right?

Right. The OP also mentioned Izulas, which have a sharpening choil but no finger choil:

I dont like finger choils. I never use them and I'd rather have more blade to use in that empty space. I do like guards though. whether part of the blade shape or a separate piece.
