Ya know... I consider myself a (somewhat) rational man. But this Becker thing has taken hold of some primordial part of my brain and kicked it's ass. In the last two days I have read nearly every single word of all the stickies. The list one obviously being my favorite. What I am SO SO SO happy about is the fact that the knives being produced today are essentially the exact same as the knives from the 'collectible' days. So I can save a ****load of money, and still have users.
So..here's the long and short of it. I am going to get 2 each of BK-2's and BK-9's, one Machax, and a BK-11 (or 17, not sure yet). Oh, and if the Brute gets produced, that's a no-brainer. But I am NOT spending $400 on a knife that I plan to pound on like a railroad spike.
I will take one each of the 2 and 9 and safe queen them, and use the living heck out of the other two. Same goes for the Machax, that's a pure user.
Where do I sign up to be a Beckerhead? That's the one thing I didn't see.
Mr Ethan, you sir are a genius. There is not an awkward line on any of the knives you designed, NOT ONE! And that is saying something. All were designed for a purpose, and they fill that purpose. I love the fact that there aren't umpteen limited editions of each knife, and the steel has remained almost unchanged for all these years. You did it right, and did it right the first time. Congrats on being recognized for the visionary you are.
Rant complete.
