Seriously?

I have seen some prices that will blow your mind. Here is a 118 that has been listed with a buy it now of $75.95 for at least 18 months.

Here is a Custom Shop 722 Spitfire that is listed for $10 more than what it would cost to buy it new from the Buck Custom Shop.

I guess you can't blame the sellers for trying to make money.

There’s a Buck I’ve been watching for awhile now. He wants $216 plus tax/shipping. IMO that’s about $60 more than it’s worth. The other day I looked and he raised the price up to $270+. I sent him a message asking him why the big price increase and told him the knife wasn’t anything that special . Never heard back from him.
I hope it isn’t anyone on the forum, lol

Yeah, you called his baby ugly.😀. There are a lot of knives overpriced because they think they have something special, as you know.

No one has grabbed the $40 373 yet. How surprising! The guy does have a lot of moxie for trying to sell that. I wouldn't take it for free.

Here's a ambitious one:

"As I will not accept returns". Pssshh.

Fun fact: sellers will indeed accept returns whether they like it or not, especially if you open a case with Ebay. When I see someone saying they don't accept returns, I usually just close the window and move along, as sellers like this usually misrepresent their items but don't care. Joke's on them though, those folks don't make the rules, and Ebay usually tends to side with the buyer 99.9999% of the time*.

* Which, candidly, is a major reason I do not sell on Ebay, aside from the ridiculous fee structure.

Ebay & PP did not side with me when I was sold a fake Benchmade because it was past the 30 day mark. I did not find out it was fake until after that point. American Express had my back, however.

That's surprising. I've had several run-ins with less than honest sellers and I've opened a case, provided proof of the negligence, and they've sided with me every time. Whelp, another reason why Ebay is really a last resort for me when I'm looking for something.

The 30 day rule was news to me, but they used it to deny the claim. With eBay flooded with fakes, it's no wonder they would side with someone selling fakes. They know who is paying the bills these days.

I think I've been lucky (knock on wood). I have bought hundreds of knives on ebay and never had to return one. I did have a 422 that had its blade reshaped. I told the seller and he gave me half my money back and I sent it to Buck for a new blade. i had a 425 that got stuck in Indianapolis PO. I received a refund for that. It is too bad because it was a special one. I did buy a few Kershaw and Benchmade knives from AliExpress, to see how close the fakes actually are. There were very well-done. In fact, since Kershaw has a factory in China, I am not sure it isn't legit. Benchmade looked legit too, especially if you don't look at the box. I've made a few purchase mistakes on ebay but that is on me. Probably one that bugs me the worst is I bought a knife that had "FB" on it before I knew what that stood for. One time I bought a special old 112 sheath not realizing that the knife that came with it was new. I bought a slipjoint where I didn't notice the KBH logo was completely worn. Etc, etc, etc. But not too many. I consider those tuition payments for me being stupid.
