Serpentine Dagger

Hi folks,

I've been a member here forever but haven't posted in quite a while. I"m going to try contributing more regularly going forward.

To start, here's a pic of a serpentine dagger I finished up recently. This was my first attempt at a serpentine blade. CPM154, hollow ground on a 3" wheel. Dyed box elder handle, nickel silver fittings.

I hear that! I swore I'd never grind another one after I finished. But a friend I've known for 30 years decided she wants one for her husband, so . . . here we go again! Fortunately, I'm finding the second one easier.

Beautiful work, I love that you start the curve in the bolster. I had an old one as a kid my dad brought me from his travels. It got lost somewhere over the years before I could appreciate the difficulty it would be to make. Of course yours is light years beyond that.
