Got the Serrata a few months back and actually havent liked it as much as my Bradly Bowie due to how dull it has gotten in a short amount of time. Only using it to slightly cut points in small twigs out in the yard and tabletop fruit preparation. My Bradley is made for much bigger and tougher tasks I believe but i want to know what anyone/someone could tell me about the angle to resharpen the Cast 440C metal at. Only been familiar with s30, s35 and other super steels recently but i need to get this thing back to a good slicing angle. Any input is appreciated. Thanks

I'd suggest you use the original angle for the first sharpening. Other than that, I'd suggest 40 degrees total, the "normal" Sharpmaker setting. For Dendritic steel, I'd stop at the grey flats and not go to the fine stones. I don't have the Serrata, but do have dendritic 440C by Boye. His recommendation is a coarse edge and on one knife the edge is 40 and the other 30 degrees. I keep the angle the way he ground it.

Thanks for the info brownshoe. I will try the 40 degree bevel later tonight. Im used to s30v so the 440 cast is a bit different for me. I will stay with the grey stones as well. Thanks
