Can anybody tell me about the serrated 103 ? It has a 2009 stamp . Were they a LE and does it carry this marking on the box ? Thanks . DM

David, is it possible that you have a BO with a Left over Blade from Klinkhamer?
As I rmember they were serrated. But what do I know!?!?

The only production 103 with a serrated blade I know was made several years ago
as a --- how is the series called with the garanteed sharpness?? --- yes, Pro Line ---
but it has no etching on the blade.

Best,
Haebbie

That looks to be it with the phelonic handle and the year code I didn't look up . It did not have Pro-line on the blade . So, I should have studied it more then looked it up . I'll gather more info today and reply later . Thanks . DM

I had one years back, and if I recall correctly, it was a Pro Line model. They were unetched. I wish I had kept it, they are fairly hard to find, but I just couldn't get past the serrations on a skinning knife?

Nice pics Haebbie! Thanks!

DM, here's the one I have, it looks different than Haebbie's... It has a X year mark for 1990 and the serrated edge is way different too... I don't know much about it at all... Just that the guy I got it from said he had friends that worked for Buck... ITE

103s....

Nice Pic Haebbie.......

Thanks guys . The serrations were like the one in Haebbie's photo and the year mark was 98 . It is new with a box though may not be correct box . Anybody remember what those sold for . DM

Sorry David, I bought mine on the bay, but I do remember it said PRO-LINE on the flap.
Then again, who knows if I had the right box... ;)

Glad you didn't keep it;) My sons' 103 is like the 1 Haebbie pictured, the date on the box is "12-28-03 CAT#9059 Pro Line 103 SE 0103-PX-0"

Scott, You think they were brought back in 2003 ? Still, from Cabela's Pro-Line . Was that wording on the front of the snoopy sheath ? Thanks . DM

The tang stamp is 1997, but without the "Pro-Line" etch on the blade, leads me to believe it was just a build out in 2003. The snoopy sheath has the triangular Buck Knives mountain logo.

Yes thats what it had on the sheath . I was wondering if I missed some wording . So, around 60-70$ . DM

I love the 103 ,didn't realize they had one with serrations though.I think a skinning knife would be rare with serrations.
