I thought serrated 110's were only available through Pete's Custom but I walked into Sportmart today and they had serrated 110's for sale on the rack. Is this something new?

The knife is sold in a clear plastic package in the closed position. The only visual indicator that it is a serrated knife is a sticker that says "SERRATED FOR EXTRA CUTTING POWER" (or something like that). I wouldn't have noticed it at all but they had one open knife in their display case. I didn't check real closely, but it appeared that every 110 they had was serrated.

I have mixed feelings about serrations but for some reason they just don't seem right on a classic like the 110. Eh, I may still pick one up anyway. We'll see.

As to the origin, I believe that Sportmart, Gart and Oshmans are affiliated and made a special order of these. Here in Albuquerque at Oshmans they have the 110 serrated and a 110/425 combo. Both sell for 34.95. I got the combo pack.
As to usefulness, ,so far I havent had any problems. I think it is the longer blade length. Here is the rough tally= 3/8" tang, 1 1/4" serrations, 2 1/4" plain edge.Used kids school ruler so ## may be off a touch.
Note= I'm not known for liking partially serrated blades, but this one is working pretty good so far.
Take care
guy
