A question to the Usual Suspects (you know who you are!!)

How comon are serrated Emerson Customs? I do not remember seeing a huge number of them and the yesterday sn7 comesup with three of them for sale? ( http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=177348 )

I have looked in the Gallery and seen that there is one CQC6 and I know of a couple of CQC5s.

BTW I have not see a bunch of grown men move so fast for a long time!!

Regards,

Ed

Ed:

Good question:

As far as Serrated blades on Emerson Customs I know the location of the following:

CQC 6 - 2
CQC 6 - 1 (All Black)
CQC 7 - 1
CQC 8 - 1
ES1-M - 1
Rhino - 2
Carraci Dagger -2

It's interesting to note that the only fixed blade with Serrations, other than possibly some neck knives is the Carraci Dagger model. I might add also that the Carraci Dagger model is the only double ground fixed blade as well that I'm aware of in regards to a earlier question on fixed blades. (Top & Bottom, rather than both sides.)

Bladelaw had a CQC 5 and a CQC 6 recently, but I've lost track of them since they were sold.

Anyone else owning any serrated customs feel free to let me know of their present ownership status.

I've had several with serrations, still have some and have some more coming in shortly. I sold the 6. the 5 was apparently stolen from a purveyor in N.Y. ( if anyone sees or hears of a serrated 5 for sale, please contact me at once ). I still have a pre date serrated 7, a serrated " CM-1 " and a serrated prototype Specwar. In a short time I will be picking up a " one-of " 8 with serrations as well as a Rhino.

Whoa! Bladelaw, WHERE do you find these knives????? Damn!! Lucky bastid... :D

They came from an estate sale as part of a package. I'll be making an announcement when I get them all in hand. I will say the knives already mentioned are not the centerpiece of the purchase. ( 7 knives in all. )

Any of the Suspects gone missing? - the man said that he got them from an estate!

I cannot wait to hear what you have got!

BTW - Sorry to hear about the loss of your serrated CQC5.

Ed

OK, if a Rhino isn't the centerpiece, I'm DYING to know what was!!!

I just wondered if the all black serrated 6 you listed was the one I just took delivery of from Ernie? {The hard way, from my original order} I had boasted about it a couple weeks ago on another thread. Any black, serrated sevens out there?

Hey handsome :p you forgot about your CQC9 serrated!

I know the location of the other serrated CQC9 ;)

:D

I guess I did forget my own CQC9 is serrated. That's what happens when you leave them in the safe and don't play with them enough.

And, then of course it sounds like HC has got a serrated one as well!

Anyone else?

No! thats what happens when you have to dang many Emerson customs you greedy bastid :D

I can confirm the story about the serrated CQC5 being stolen at the NY show - I was talking to the perveyor concerned about the purchase of an Emerson Fixed blade. He was not a happy man...

Ed
