Serrated edge on Vapor?

Hi,

Are the serrations on the Vapor tough enough to stand up to use? I've always been a smooth edge type. But I've decided that I should get a serrated knife. And looking at the pictures of one, the serrations look like they are tiny little teeth. Or are they more like other makers' serrated edges?

I just can't tell from the pictures.

Thanks!

Kershaw's newer (not really so new, but different than the older) serrations are a series of single-sided equally-sized small razor-sharp convex edges...In my experience they hold up fine...

Hi,

Thanks! I think I'll go for the serrations then. I should get a black TiN coated Vapor, but those rainbow Leeks you guys keep showing are really starting to get to me!

Thanks,

dalee, re-read Ray's post...the newer Kershaw serrations are a good tool, much like the ones on the true RAT. Older new stock may still have the older style.

Maybe TGG will give us a change over date for the newer serrations?!?
