Does anyone else dislike the serrated blade on their leatherman? I never use mine even though I carry my charge everyday. I finally ground off the teeth and now have a blade like a thick straight razor. Just wondering how anyone else felt and if they've done anything about it?

I'm not fond of it... some rope cutting, that's all, but I'm more used to the regular knife

Leatherman does serrations quite well. The serrated blade on the Wave has never been an impediment to cutting anything. I haven't found anything to dislike. The pattern they use is decently aggressive, and not particularly difficult to sharpen.

I'm sorry i can't show you the modification I made, I'm new to the site and don't know how to put pictures on here. Do you need to be a paying member for that? I would love some help on that front.

Nope, just go to tinypic.com and upload your pics, then copy the code underneath "IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards" then paste it here.

I actually use the serrated blade so I dont mess up the other blade

if I might come in contact with dirt or concrete, I'm not putting my smooth blade anywhere near that stuff

Completely agree. Another of its better features (for right-handers) is that the serrations are on the right side of the blade, making it much easier to control while cutting through materials like posterboard. It's a matter of muscle dynamics; a left side serrated blade (good for lefties), like most of them, wants to wander rightward and has to be fought in order to cut on a straight line. I also like Vic's serrated blade on the OH Trekker, also a right-sider. Those, basically, are the only two serrated blades I use.

I love the one on my wave. The serrated blade gets used for all the dirty tasks. Never been a fan of combo blades, but a full on serrated blade has tons of uses.

I wouldn't want to be without it. I carry and use the LM Core everyday at work. The serrated blade cuts 100 percent of the hoses and tubing I have to work with.
