Can't beat'm for clean precision cuts and scraping too...Yep, especially for woodwork...
I wonder why the current Military models aren’t offered with full or partial serrations. Serrated blades cut better than plain edges.
There are several Spyderco models with serrated edges that are similar. Since the Military is designed for, well, the military, I wouldn't want a serrated blade that could hang up on fabric.
No please. A pocket saw will do the trick. I much prefer PE folding knives.
That's an extremely interesting response "ScooterG". Because you're not the only one I've encountered recently that has said that certain Spyderco models are very handy in woodworking projects. It hasn't been all that long ago that I had a friend who is an avid woodworker who asked me if I knew where he could get one of the older Spyderco Warren Thomas "KARAMBIT" models from a few years back. And he isn't the only one who has told me of the virtues of Spyderco's great knives used in woodworking.Yep, especially for woodwork...
Wouldn't that be S30V? Since CPM 440V is S60Vim all for a full serrated military. partial serrated i have zero interest in.
whateber steel doesnt matter......sure would be neat to have 440v...but 420v would be better.
s90vWouldn't that be S30V? Since CPM 440V is S60V
kniferbro nailed it 420v is s90v....s30v is only s30v.Wouldn't that be S30V? Since CPM 440V is S60V
Interesting, I'm a carpenter/woodworker by trade, a serrated edge would be my last choice. Now give me a gayle Bradley 1 with a super thin edge and that hollow grind that just press cuts through wood....Yep, especially for woodwork...
