Im planning to buy my first Sebenza. I like to ask for opinions how well does the serrated made on those sebenzas? I've not seen any sebenzas that has serrated. Thank you very much.

If you search well enough you should find a picture, www.newgraham.com has them in their CRK section. I'd advise against getting the serrated knife unless you're mainly cutting rope and fibrous materials.

If you absolutely have to have serrations, the CRK ones are probably the easiest ones out there to maintain.

I have a love/hate relationship with serrations. I plan to fully serrate my Nuke EDC for maximum nastiness, but otherwise keep my users plain edged.

Great thing about CRK's serrations is that they can be shapened conventionally; i.e. as you would normally sharpen a plain edged Sebenza. If I were to get serrations it would have to be on a large Sebbie as there is still plenty of plain edge to do your fine work!

Notice how the serrations stay in line with the rest of the blade. Opposite holds true on the reverse...

I sold this knife a while back, hope the new owner doesn't mind me using the pic

I EDC a large micarta with serrations and I like it. Like Blackend says they cut evenly. Serrations don't look as clean but they do make the knife look a little meaner. Serrations add more bite to the blade. Many here have strong negative feelings about serrations and this topic has been beat to death but I like the ones that CRK puts on there blade and they work well for me.:thumbup:

I'm not fond of any serrations. BUT that is why there are plain edge knives. Some people like serrated nives and that i why they are around.

for my .02 worth, if your blade is sharp, it will cut rope just fine. :)

I have a serrated small sebbie, and I wish it wasnt serrated. I dont hate them and like others have said, the chris reeve serrations are the best, but I still wish I had a plain edge.

I would also vote against serrations, unless you have some sort of special application for them. Even then, I would consider using another tool for that purpose - something other than my regular pocket knife.

As others have said, CRK's serrations are relatively unobtrusive and easy to maintain though, so I guess if you must have them, that would be a consideration on the positive side.

I have a small micarta serrated that I wish I could find someone to trade me the same knife only non serrated
