Figured it is worth throwing this out there - I picked up a fully serrated Endura quite a while back, and find I really don't care for the serrated blade. No matter how hard I try, I just can't get comfortable using it. It seems like there are a few options as far as re-profiling, and it is nice to have a big chunk of ZDP-189 to play with.

So, the question is - better to keep stock and trade it to let someone appreciate it in original form, or get it reprofiled and make it a user I enjoy?

Thanks.

trade. a cop or paramedic would find use for it (think car accident victims still strapped down on their seat belts.) or guys who simply cut a lot of rope and nylon webbing.

Thanks hank. Makes sense and fits the overall idea of keeping it as a user (finding someone who will actually us it that is).

I've been curius how the serrated edge will hold up, but just can't find a use for it.

Just try to trade it off for a Plain Edge version.
If that doesn't work, trade it for something else awesome and Plain Edge.
Or add some money and get a Caly 3 CF ZDP.

Yeah, trading for a plain edge seems like a good idea - time to research. It is a nice big chunk of steel though, offhand do you know of anything (aside from Endura) that's about the same size and solid ZDP?

The Spyderco Stretch is about the same size and you can get it in ZDP. It is a very nice knife and looks alot better than the Endura!
