Serrations don’t feel sharp

My new serrated black talon 2 just does not feel sharp when I run my thumb over the serrations is this normal? Also is there anyway I can test the sharpness in a safe way?

I have noticed(on new blades)that some are super sharp and others that are not. I know the blade on a non serrated cuts on the edge while the serrated are like teeth and cut using all edges. I would try cutting something that only a serrated edge will cut well like rope etc. Someone with more experience with serrated edges should chime in soon.

Odd. Cold Steel serrations are usually needle sharp.

Yeah there was a burr. I fixed it with the lansky it’s super sharp now.
