Serrations dropping off?

I've noticed that the Caly 3.5" doesn't come with a fully SE (or any SE) option. I also recall the full SE option being dropped on the Military and Para.

Is it just me or are more and more knives loosing the fully spyder edged blade?

Seems that way. Probably not selling enough to justify them staying around.

With limited exceptions (Police, the various rescue models, and the Salt Series), serrated knives don't seem to be selling well anymore. IIRC, the SE version of the Caly 3 was the first to be dropped, so perhaps they considered making a SE Caly 3.5 too risky. Am sure that if the SE option is being dropped on any particular model, poor sales is the reason. It's not universal, they do offer the VG-10 Stretch II in SE, and (somewhat surprisingly) CE as well.

Sales was my guess.

To be honest I don't see myself buying many SE knives, but every once and a while I look down at what I'm cutting and go "damn, full SE would just chew this right up."
