Serrations on a large fixed blade?

What's your feeling about serrations on a large camp/hunt/survival type fixed blade?

Looking closely at buying the Ontario Randall Rat-7 (D2, micarta handle). Any other recommendations for a 6"-7" flat grind fixed blade?
